Joe received Bachelor of Arts degrees from Florida Christian College (1981) and Milligan College (1983). He received his M.A. from Cincinnati Christian University (1989) and his M.Ed. from the University of South Florida (1991). Joe received his D.Min. from Lincoln Christian University (2009).
Joe grew up in Fort Myers, FL and attended First Christian Church--where he was ordained into ministry (1981). He has served in full- and part-time ministry roles throughout the years. From 1998-2008, Joe served as the Spiritual Development Minister at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont, CO. He has also served as an adjunct professor for Colorado Christian University and Hope International University (online). Additionally, Joe worked for 9 years in business as an Information Manager. He and his family currently attend Northeast Christian Church (Kissimmee).
Joe joined the staff of Florida Christian College in the summer of 2011. As the Director of Student Success, his goal is to provide resources and services to help FCC students achieve their educational goals. As an adjunct, he teaches in the Ministry Department.
He and his wife Valerie have been married for over 30 years and have four adult children.
