Dear FCC Students,

On behalf of the Florida Christian College student body, I want to welcome new students into the FCC family and encourage returning students. My name is Amber Trebour, and it is my privilege to be your Student Council President for the upcoming year 2011-2012. As you wrap up the summer and prepare to continue or begin a new journey with us, remember that God shapes you for His Kingdom work and it starts now!

I would like to introduce you to the 2011-2012 Student Council Officers. I, as you already know, am Amber Trebour, your Council President. Your Council Vice President is Alex Spaulding, your Council Secretary is Douglas Stewart, and your Council Treasurer is Trenton Rearick. The four of us have agreed to serve the student body, to help the student body grow spiritually, and to help students grow individually. We are here to be the voice of the student body, overseeing the student body as a whole, relaying student body concerns to the college administrators, and creating a healthy spiritual atmosphere within the FCC campus community. God has placed great ideas amongst the council officers for the upcoming year, and we look forward to sharing them with you throughout the year.

Our goal for this year’s Student Council is to unify the student body as a whole. We plan to have campus activities all year, such as cookouts, movie nights, game nights, service projects, and much more. We ask for your input, especially any ideas you have about strengthening the student body. If you have a question or two, maybe you want to be involved and have a say, Student Council will hold weekly meetings where every idea will be heard. We would love for you to take part in that process.

As we kick off the new school year, please plan to attend the annual Student Council Cookout during Orientation on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at 4 pm. The whole student body is invited to take part in eating, ultimate Frisbee, football, renewing friendships, and becoming acquainted with new students.

As your student body leaders, we pray that God will strengthen you through your journey in life and that you will find a purer passion for Christ from here on out. Sure, some obstacles may appear on that path, even here at FCC; but be assured, becoming part of the FCC family is one of the best decisions you could ever make! May God bless and challenge you as you grow closer to Him in the years to come. I look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

Amber Trebour, 2011-2012 Student Council President
