The Lady Suns started off strong tonight and won the first set against two time defending USCAA national champion Florida College. This marked the first time Florida Christian had taken a set from the perennially #1 USCAA college. The FC Falcons fought back and won the next three in a very spirited match. The hometown fans were as usual loud and played a large role in creating an awesome atmosphere in the Chapman Center. Final scores were 25-20, 15-25,16-25, 19-25. The Suns were led offensively by setter Ashley Griswold (35 assists) and attackers Charlotte Worsfold (11 kills 3 blocks)), Brinda Wallis (10 kills and 10 digs), and Amelia Kosta and Shelby Buchanan (5 kills each). The defense was led by Holli Meredith with 20 digs. Three more home matches this week- Thursday vs Lake Sumter@7pm, Friday vs Point U @7pm, and Saturday vs Baptist College of Florida @10am.
