With name like Martinelli- she has to be good! With one Martinelli already on the Suns roster (sophomore Jillian Martinelli), the Suns were looking to add another and did so with the signing of Jillian’s cousin and former HS and club teammate- Bethany Martinelli. Though home schooled and dual enrolled in college courses, Bethany also played for Master’s Academy in Vero Beach and for Saundra Maher’s Faith in Action Volleyball Club. Coach Butski had been aware of Bethany and her desire to continue her education as a Sun and compete for the volleyball program and is very excited to get a player with tremendous passion for the game who is also a top student and a has a heart for God’s will in her life as well. Florida Christian is coming off a 13-24 season and competes in the southern region of the National Christian Conference Athletic Association. They will host the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee again next fall and as hosts will receive an automatic bid to the tournament.
