Men's Cross Country

Suns Compete at NCCAA Cross
Country Championships

11/10/12 – NCCAA Cross Country Championships. The Florida Christian College Suns Men’s Cross Country program sent three young men to the NCCAA Cross Country Championship in Cedarville, Ohio. Each of the three young men had a very successful season of cross country and running at Nationals was a fitting conclusion to their cross country season. Running in a field of 50 teams (both NCCAA – Division I & II) and over 280 runners all three young men set a personal record for the season with their best time of the year. Among the Division II runners – Austin Reid finished in 21st position with a season best time of 30.27 (average mile time of 6:05); Danny McInroe finished in 30th position with a season best time of 32:07 (average mile time of 6:30); and Tyler Peterson finished in 42nd position with a season best time of 33:50 (average mile time of 6:45). In looking over the season, Coach Bordelon pointed out that very seldom do you have cross country runners that improve their times each time they run. That was exactly the case with these young men throughout the season. Their hard work throughout the season allowed them to peak at just the right time with outstanding performances at Nationals!
