Josue begins his second season on the Suns Baseball coaching staff. Gonzalez was the Head Coach for the Leesburg Lightning this past summer in the Florida Futures Wood-Bat League, and he led them to the regular season crown. The former player and graduate of Cypress Creek HS and Webber International University spent four seasons in the minor leagues as a catcher, before moving on to coaching at the high school level and as a private baseball instructor in the Orlando area. Josue spent 2005-08 behind the plate in the Northern, Canadian-American, United Baseball and the Puerto Rico Professional Leagues, and was a spring training invitee for the Washington Nationals in 2006. “Josue does a great job for us, he works very well with players” states Copeland. “His experience and contacts in the state of Florida are extensive, and his passion for the game of baseball is surpassed only by his passion for Jesus Christ and serving Him.” Josue has a B.S. in Business Administration from Webber International University.
