October 15th, 2011. Clermont, Florida. This past weekend the Florida Christian College Men’s Basketball team had another great opportunity use their talents and abilities to serve others. The team traveled to Real Life Christian Academy in Clermont, FL for a free basketball clinic, their second of the year so far. Six members of the Suns team worked with Real Life’s middle school boys team as well as the high school girls team. Through the clinic they spent the morning working on basketball fundamentals in preparation for the beginning of practice. Coach Deer was pleased with the clinic and the relationship that is developing between the program and Real Life. “We have been building a good relationship with Debi Lawson and Real Life Christian Academy for a couple years now, and it is truly a blessing to be able to come and serve the boys and girls basketball teams.” The FCC Men’s Basketball Team kicks of their season Tuesday night, November 1st with a home game against NAIA opponent Southeastern University followed by another game at home on Thursday, November 3rd against NAIA Johnson & Wales University.
