MISSION
Basketball
at Florida Christian College is a unique experience. Our program
is demanding spiritually, mentally, and physically because we
believe it is our duty to develop the talents God has so graciously
entrusted to us. We will strive to work together, play together,
pray together, grow together, and succeed together. My goal is
for our basketball players to leave our program with a sense for
God’s ultimate calling in their lives. Our
mission is to help our young men develop a passion for God in
a Christ-centered educational experience. Achievement is an outpouring
of what God is doing in each one of us.
As
a team we look forward to the journey at the beginning of each
new season. It is through our trials together that we learn to
adjust to each others weaknesses. We learn to encourage each other
and to build on one another’s strengths. We look forward to how
God is faithful to us and how he grows all of us through the season.
It
is our goal to help all of our young men become men of God and
men of character, men of faith, and men who go out and make a
difference in our world today. To help accomplish that goal many
of our basketball players participate in our "Hoops
on the Rez" service project or our annual "Suns
Basketball reading program".
