Basketball Team Holds First Community Basketball Camp

Basketball Camp 2012

During the week of June 11- 15, the Florida Christian College Men’s Basketball Program hosted its first ever community basketball camp. The camp included a session for both middle school and high school students. This was an opportunity for area students to improve directly in their basketball fundamental skills and this was considered, by FCC Head Coach Jake Deer, a great success. The morning camp (middle school) had 32 individuals that participated and the afternoon camp (high school) had 28 individuals that participated in this year’s camp.

Coach Deer said” This summer’s basketball camp was a huge success. I believe we had a great turn out for the first time ever hosting a game of this nature. The kids really enjoyed the camp and I believe this is a huge asset to area schools and their basketball programs.

Basketball Camp 2012

I look forward to continuing to build a bridge with our community to develop strong student athletes in Osceola County. It’s an honor to work with young people in this capacity”. You can find out more information about upcoming basketball camp by checking our athletics page at FCC.edu
