  • First Gov: USA.gov: U.S. government official web portal
  • CongressLink: The Dirksen Congressional Center, a non-profit, nonpartisan research and educational organization, designed the site as a service for teachers of American government, history, and civics.
  • Federal Citizen Information Center: This service is provided by the Federal Citizen Information Center
  • Federal Register: the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.
  • Federal Statistics Gateway for statistics from over 100 federal agencies.
  • Government documents: Maintained by the University of Michigan, the "Documents Center is a central reference and referral point for government information, whether local, state, federal, foreign or international. Its web pages are a reference and instructional tool for government, political science, statistical data, and news."

International Government Information

  • CIA World FactBook : The National Intelligence Survey provides the essential elements of basic intelligence on all areas of the world. The Factbook was created as an annual summary and update to the encyclopedia NIS studies.
  • InfoNation is a two-step database that allows you to view and compare the most up-to-date statistical data for the Member States of the United Nations. In this first menu, you can select up to seven countries. Then, you can proceed to the data menu where you will be able to select statistics and other data fields for comparisons.
  • Library of Congress Portals to the World links to electronic resources from around the world
  • The WWW Virtual Library: International Affairs Resources -- annotated links in a range of international affairs, international studies, and international relations topics.
