Twila Sias
Professor of English and Education

Twila Sias grew up in southern Illinois in a home dedicated to ministry. Her relationship with Florida Christian College began at its inception in 1976, when she oversaw the college office. In 1980, she began teaching in the areas of English and Christian Education. Twila’s academic preparation includes a B.A. degree from Lincoln Christian College, an M.Ed. degree from University of Central Florida, and doctoral work with Nova Southeastern University.
Currently, Mrs. Sias teaches courses in education and psychology, such as Children’s Literature Methodology, General Psychology and Intro to Education.
Professor Sias is one of the original five persons who made up the staff of Central Florida Bible College (the original name of Florida Christian College). She has been with the college for 30 years.
Professor Sias has been a great asset to the college in many ways. Her talent at the piano has been a blessing at many events throughout the life of the college. Students have great affection for her as a professor who takes a genuine interest in their welfare. Under Mrs. Sias oversight, the FCC education program holds a favorable reputation among the areas public schools.
Twila and her family—husband, Don (’81) and son, Jonathan—enjoy travel together, especially hiking and camping. They are active in the life of Southside Christian
