Dr. Shane Wood
Associate Professor of Ministry

M. Shane Wood is Associate Professor of Ministry at Florida Christian College. His primary role consists of teaching leadership courses and enhancing and developing leadership programs at the College.
He previously served as the Chief Academic Officer of Nebraska Christian College. Before functioning in that capacity, he served as the Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministry and taught courses in leadership, ministry, church health, and the New Testament. He holds the Bachelor of Biblical Literature and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Ozark Christian College (1989), the Master of Divinity degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary (1996), and the Doctor of Philosophy degree (in Organizational Leadership) from Regent University (2005).
Dr. Wood’s full-time ministry experience includes a youth ministry in Illinois as well as administrative and preaching ministries in Iowa. During his time at NCC, he has conducted interim ministries in Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. Dr. Wood is published in the International Journal of Leadership Studies and the Baltic Journal of Management. He is an active member of International Leadership Association and the Academy of Management. Dr. Wood currently teaches adjunct courses in the Master’s Program of Kentucky Christian University and in the Masters and Doctoral Programs of Lincoln Christian University. He also participates as a member of the NACC Continuation Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for the Christian Church Consortium for Distance Learning.
Dr. Wood and his bride, Gayla, have three children: Shayla, Mackenzie, and Michael. Outside of spending time with his family, some of his favorite free-time activities include walking, reading, watching Cornhusker football, and playing beach volleyball. |
