Roland Howard
Associate Professor of Ministry

Roland Howard is associate Professor of ministry. He teaches preaching, inter and cross-cultural missions, church growth, and evangelism courses.
Professor Howard was converted to Christ while an undergraduate student at NC State University through the Brooks Ave. Church of Christ. His previous work experience included engineering work with Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Newport News, VA. Subsequent to his role as an engineer, Prof. Howard and his family moved to Illinois and began located ministry at Central Christian Church of Pontiac, IL. While serving there, Professor Howard completed his Master of Divinity degree from Lincoln Christian College and Seminary and transitioned into service with North Point Community Christian Church in the Chicago area as Associate Minister of Discipleship, Small groups, and Adult Education. Professor Howard joined the teaching faculty at FCC in August 2002.
He and his family currently attend First Christian Church of Kissimmee where he serves in the development and maintenance of inter-cultural ministry and evangelism. He is also a member of the Academy of Homilitecs.
Professor Howard enjoys a variety of recreational activities including surfing, scuba diving, biking, running, and swimming. He also enjoys reading, inter and cross-cultural ministry, Spanish, and drumming.
He is married to Becki Howard. They have five children - John, Sara, Ben, Matt, and Joshua. |
