Elementary Education

This specialization educates students to meet the State of Florida teaching certification requirements in Elementary Education while broadening their Christian world view. One major goal of FCC's program is for the student to develop an appreciation for teaching as a profession in which they can minister to children. The student will learn to develop currently effective teaching techniques and strategies to use inside the public or private school setting. Students graduating from the Elementary Education Department will maintain a 2.5 GPA, pass three Florida Teacher Certification Examinations, and successfully complete a 14-week Certification Internship in Osceola County.

Music Education

This specialization educates students to meet the State of Florida teaching certification requirements in Music Education while broadening their Christian world view. The program is designed to prepare the student to structure and direct music programs in a public or private school setting. Students graduating from the Music Education program will maintain a 2.5 GPA, pass three Florida Teacher Certification Examinations, successfully complete a 14-week Certification Internship in Osceola County, and demonstrate proficiency in their primary instrument through an annual jury session and their final senior recital.
